Since the beginning of their collaboration in 1987, Florian Riegler and Roger Riewe have been working with remarkable continuity on architecture’s principal themes, from the floor plan to the urban planning scale. These themes are, on one level, the space as such, its rhythm, dynamics and use; these are structures, conjunctions, the creation of spatial and content-based opportunity fields.

On a somewhat different level, it is about the questions of the abstract, the in-between, the ambiguity, the non-pictorial, and the normal; hence, an architecture that, in the Hermann Czech sense, serves as a background. But, at the same time, it is a casual, yet precisely conceived and implemented form of enhancement and enrichment respectively.
